The following are the most common errors involving non-working download links, which can be resolved by having a replacement link issued:
- You upgraded your operating system or reformatted your computer
- The download link expired
- You accidentally deleted the link
- The computer crashed and caused you to lose a link
In these cases, please contact your retailer to request a replacement link.

While this may involve a wide range of issues, the following are common error messages received by e-book customers during downloading process:
- The requested e-book title was not found.
Contact your e-book retailer so that they can investigate the issue.
- The requested e-book is currently not available for download or has not been released for general distribution.
Some e-books are offered for sale by retailers in advance of the release date. (“pre-order”). In this case, please try downloading again on or after the release date. If you do not know the release date, please contact your retailer.
- The requested e-book title cannot be downloaded at this time due to difficulty in communicating with the retail site. Please try again later.
Please contact your retailer so that they can investigate this issue.
E-books from this retailer are not yet available or the system has detected an invalid retailer number. Please contact your retailer.
- Server Timeout or Download Reset
This is most often caused by the problem with your Internet connection or browser. Please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or check your browser to make sure it is working properly.
This is a generic error caused by your firewall blocking the port and not allowing Adobe Digital Editions to download. If you receive this error message while trying open an e-book with Adobe Digital Editions, check your firewall settings to make sure the standard port 80 is open.
